I asked to know if it was possible to load a PDF file in a modal or lightbox pop-up
Maudud Hossain told me yes.
I must say that I’d apreciate very much a piece of code that would open a pdf with controll on the size pop width and height.
Thanks for your help!

Thank you for your answer.
Unfortunately the site is only local for now as it is in development phase.
I just tried to add a pdf line to your shorcode demo code.
It works but loads the PDF in a second clic and full window.
I’d like the PDF to be opened directly on first clic in a fixed size window (px or %)
[modal effect="1" button_text="FADE IN AND SCALE" button_class="readon uk-margin-small" close_button="yes" title_color="#ffffff" title="Modal Box Title" background="#1abc9c" color="#fff" overlay_background="rgba(26, 188, 156,0.3)"]</p> <p>This is a modal window. You can do the following things with it:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Read:</strong> modal windows will probably tell you something important so don't forget to read what they say.</li> <li><strong>Look:</strong> a modal window enjoys a certain kind of attention; just look at it and appreciate its presence.</li> <li><strong>Close:</strong> click on the button top right corner to close the modal.<br /><br /><a class="btn btn-primary voir-pdf" title="Exemple de PDF dans un « modal »" href="images/stories/pdf/My_PDF.pdf">PDF</a></li> </ul> <p>[/modal]
Thanks if you can guide me!
Please take your site online and share access. Your code is right but why not working, I have to observe.
This code creates a link, “FADE IN AND SCALE”, that will generate a beautifull rectangular modal window with a button. And when this button is triggered it will open the PDF in full window.
I’d like to open the PDF in the beautifull rectangular modal window directly after the clic on “FADE IN AND SCALE”
For now the development is upside-down, but I’ll promise to put it online as soon as it will be OK. These infos are private, right?
So you have to write some custom CSS.
Thanks for being with us.
Thanks for your answer.
But I think that there is misunerstanding.
I’d only need a code that would open a PDF in the rectangular modal window directly from a Joomla main article page.
Could you help me?
We have to test it in our free version, but at this moment we are very busy with another project.
Of course I understand.
But obviously I’d take for the Paid version if I get a valid line of code that opens a pdf file in a modal/lightbox.
It’s just a line of code. Peanuts for your developper team…
Ok When we free then work for it.
But I thought naively that there was no need to develop special code and that modal windows had already the abality to open simply a pdf file. I thought that it was just a question of using the right syntax in code when calling the the modal window, no more…
