We are happy to announce that you, using the Portfolio List Widget developed by Element Pack, will surely be able to display your portfolios brilliantly. Usually, a portfolio is a set of pictures by someone or photographs of examples of their work which they use when entering competitions or applying for work.
There are mainly three types of portfolios and they are working portfolios, display portfolios, and assessment portfolios.
The guideline below about the widget will get you to walk in the right way to use it. Moreover, I’ll guide you in different phases of how you can insert & use the widgets to design layout for the content (text, image, and video, etc.) you want to work with and style as well.
The Content Tab having some handy sections for making an impressive web page will genuinely get you to have a structure of the web content (text, image, video, etc.).
This section will allow you to show the portfolio in a horizontal layout and also with different columns. The section will also make you enable to set pagination which refers to the automated process of adding consecutive numbers to identify the sequential order of pages for the Portfolio List Widget.
Go to Content Tab > Layout > Horizontal Layout > Columns > and Pagination.
This section works for setting the source location of data that you need to display by the reference like Author, Categories, Tags, and Formats for the portfolio plugin. The references can be different following the source location. Read more
Simply go to Content Tab > Query > Source (Manual selection) and set the categories from the controls Categories.
Limit control will help you to set the limit of the lists. In contrast, Order By and Order controls are here to arrange the data you want to display through Random, Title, Date, or Menu Order wisely and also with Ascending or Descending order for the portfolio template.
Only go to Query > Limit > Order by and Order.
There is nothing more in this section working with Title, Title HTML Tag, Excerpt, Excerpt Limit, Show Category, Show in new Tab. Simply go to Content Tab > Additional.
It is time to work with Style Tab. The tab will confidently have you style the web content (text, image, video, etc.) of the page you want to design with the Portfolio List Widget.
Let’s have a look.
In this section, you can set the alignment of title, excerpt, and category, and the gap between the items. Also, you can set the background and border types with width and color, more importantly, border radius. So, simply go to Style Tab > Items and keep your eyeballs on the screenshot to understand how to use the WordPress portfolio plugin easily.
Go to Style Tab > Thumbnail.
There is one important control that will permit you to do different styles for the thumbnail. Just go to Thumbnail > Advanced Radius.
Title, Excerpt, and Category
In these sections, you’ll be able to set text color, spacing, and typography.
This section holds Normal, Hover, and Active modes. The Normal mode in a normal state, Hover mode in a hover state, and Active mode in an active state respectively will allow you to set the text color, background color solid, or gradient from Background Type.
But, in the normal mode, you can do one more thing to set padding, radius, arrow size, and typography for the Portfolio List Widget.
