How to Use Portfolio Gallery Widget

The guideline below about the Portfolio Gallery widget will help you to use the widget by Element Pack. A portfolio is a set of pictures (such as drawings or photographs) usually bound in book form or looses in a folder.

So, let’s dive into the doc.

To Insert Widget

inserting the Portfolio Gallery widget

Inserting widget, it is just a matter of drag and dropping. As you see in the screenshot above, drag the portfolio plugin WordPress into your page.

Initial Configuration

Note: Before inserting the widget, you’ve to make sure, you’ve activated the 3rd party plugin ‘Portfolio‘ and added items. Just, go to the WordPress Dashboard > Element Pack > 3rd Party Widget. See the image example above.


Content Tab

Using the content tab, you’ll be able to make a layout of a particular part of a website. And in this regard, some handy sections in the tab will assist you a lot in designing the Portfolio Gallery widget.

Now, I’m going to show the sections of the tab and how they work behind the image gallery widget.

Layout

Skin Janes Example

Go to the Content Tab > Layout.

In this section, you’ll be able to set Skin (such as Fedara, Abetis, Janes, Trosia along with default one), Columns, and Item Height. In addition, you can switch on/off the Pagination and Masonry.

Query

Go to the Content tab > Query.

This section works for setting the source location of data that you need to display by the reference like Author, Categories, Tags, and Formats of the photo gallery. The references can be different in accordance with the source location. Read more 

For example, 

A.  Go to Source ➤ next select data location( Manual Selection along with Show All.) 

B. Then, set the Category name in the Categories field.

C. Set Limit from the Limit field, for example, 20.

D. Order By and Order controls are here to arrange the data you want to display items in the Ascending or Descending order and also you can set Offset.

Filter Bar

From this section, you can enable the filter options along with the Hash Location.

Simply, go to the Content tab > Filter Bar.

Additional

Go to the Content tab > Additional > and enable the On/Off options as your requirement. Mostly, you can select Lightbox Animation and Grid Entrance Animation.


Style Tab

Now, let’s work with the Style Tab. The tab will easily have you style the web content (text, image, video, etc.) of the page you require to design the Portfolio Gallery widget. 

Styling with the tab in Elementor will always give you a fantastic experience.

Let’s have a look.

Items

In this section, you might generally adjust Column Gap and Row Gap and set Border Radius. Take a look at the photo.

Follow the Style Tab > Items> Content.

Content

From this subsection, you can add text and background color and to the Title.

Text

Come to the Text section and Color, Margin, and Typography of the image gallery.

Button

Go to the Style tab > Button.

This section includes two modes (Normal and Hover). The modes will allow you to add Text and Background color to the button.

Besides, you can usually set Box Shadow, select Border Type and Radius with Padding and Typography. See the image example above.

Filter Bar

In this section, you’ll be able to select Alignment, Typography and adjust Bottom Space.

Desktop mode

This mode will let you style the Filter Bar for the Desktop screen. Just take a look at the image.

Mobile Mode

You can also style the Filter Bar in Mobile mode. Go to the Style tab > Filter Bar.

Category

Simply, go to the Style tab > Category.
