A portfolio is a set of pictures usually bound in book form or looses in a folder. The guideline below about the Portfolio Carousel widget will get you to walk in the right way to use the widget developed by Element Pack.
Moreover, I’ll show you the way in different phases of how you can insert & use the widget to design layout for the content (text, image, and video, etc.) you want to work with and style as well.
To Insert Widget
Inserting widget, it is just a matter of drag and dropping. Before inserting the image slider widget, you’ve to make sure, you’ve activated 3rd party plugin ‘Portfolio’ and added items. As you see in the screenshot above.
Using the content tab, you’ll be able to make a layout of a particular part of a website. And in this regard, some handy sections in the tab will assist you a lot to build the Portfolio Carousel.
In this section, you’ll be able to set Skin(such as Fedara, Abetis, Trosia, Janes along with default one), Columns, and Item Gap.
Go to the Content Tab > Layout.
This section works for setting the source location of data that you need to display by the reference like Author, Categories, Tags, and Formats. The references can be different in accordance with the source location. Read more
A. Go to Source ➤ next select data location( Manual Selection)
B. Then, select categories from the Categories field.
C. After that, set the limit of the carousel items.
D. Order By control is here to arrange the data you want to display through Random, Title, Date, or categorically
E. And you can also set the order with ascending or descending.
F. Finally, you can set offset for the Portfolio Carousel widget.
This section will allow you to manipulate Title, Title HTML Tag, Excerpt, Excerpt Limit, Show Category, Show Link(Both, none, Details Link, Lightbox Link), Show in new Tab, etc.
More, importantly, you’ll be able to control Lightbox Animation(Fade, slide, scale), Lightbox Autoplay, Lightbox Pause on Hover.
Simply, go to the Content Tab > Additional > work with the controls and hit on the yes/no switcher button.
This section will allow you what type of navigation you want to display with the carousel and its position. If you select dots, then you’ll be able to make dots/ bullet points dynamic. Moreover, you can enable the Show Scrollbar switcher button On/Off option. Just, go to the Content Tab > Navigation.
This section holds all about the settings of the carousel. Here, you can handle the Autoplay and its speed. In addition, Loop, Animation Speed, and so on. More importantly, from the Layout control, you can select Carousel/ Coverflow for the image slider.
It is time to work with Style Tab. The tab will confidently have you style the web content (text, image, video, etc.) of the page you want to design.
Styling with the Style tab in Elementor will always give you a fantastic experience.

In this section, you could give style to items such as Title. Take a look at the photo. Follow the Style Tab > Items> Content.
Button and Category
In these two sections, you will be able to set text and background color, border and border-radius, padding, box-shadow. Besides, you can set a hover and advanced radius to the button.
From this section, only text color, margin, and typography are available to set.
This section will allow you to style the navigation icon and to do so. Go to the Style Tab > Navigation and check all the controls found in the red rectangular mark.
